But it should™ be not a big deal - the only thing that might hurt is the increased image size. I had the very same discussion in siduction two years ago - so what really happend? 1. A few installed packages more in a live iso that comes before without an installer - no big deal. 2. If installed with d-i no bad things happend. 3. If installed with calamares: At the end of the installation calamares will be removed (including all packages that are not needed without) - so also no big deal. 4. Increased disc size: ok, might hurt if there are images that are to big for a normal medium.
Calamares and it's dependencies should not be installed at a normal minimmal console live image - that would be nuts. Cheers Alf
