Quoting problem? This GRUB2 command line option:
boot=live components
should be:
boot="live components"
Fixing this in the GRUB2 menu progresses the boot a little until failing
to mount something. The ISO image? Anyway, after a complaint that init
was not specified, we drop back to an (initramfs) prompt.
Tested with an emulated UEFI boot:
qemu-system-x86_64 -machine q35 -m 1024 -bios /usr/share/ovmf/OVMF.fd
-hda live.iso
