Hello The current kernel in jessie-backports isn't compatible with live-boot from stable (4.0.2-1). Because the kernel don't have aufs, which was removed when overlayfs was mainlined.
Overlayfs support was added to live-boot around 5.x. Without this package you can't create a live image which works with newer kernel hence also newer hardware like skylake. I have uploaded the package here: http://mentors.debian.net/package/live-boot Regards Kristian Klausen
