What if a file exists at that path with the same name as the directory? e.g. $ touch testfile $ mkdir -p testfile mkdir: cannot create directory `testfile': File exists -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-live-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
