yesterday i had a look about traffic statistics of live.debian.net. these are the numbers for http outgoing traffic only[0] back to the beginning of october 2010 where i've moved live.debian.net from a physical host into a container (lxc) where it currently resides on one of my servers:
2010-10 1'811.160 GB 2010-11 1.396.230 GB 2010-12 1.530.216 GB 2011-01 1'728,628 GB 2011-02 2'469.584 GB 2011-03 2'226.955 GB 2011-04 2'572.385 GB 2011-05 1'908.815 GB 2011-06 1'507.752 GB 2011-07 2'751.955 GB 2011-08 1'210.773 GB 2011-09 1'299.545 GB 2011-10 1'436.601 GB 2011-11 1'221.748 GB 2011-12 1'232.189 GB Total 2011: 21'566.918 GB; average 1'797.243 GB/month 2012-01 2'119.687 GB 2012-02 2'725.492 GB 2012-03 2'615.921 GB 2012-04 2'172.984 GB surprisingly, (and not that the server couldn't handle it, no worries, but) the traffic increases eventhough we're linking since the lenny release to the mirror location on cdimage.debian.org/cdimage in all html foo. i've got most of the logs back until 2006 somewhere i think, at some point when i'm bored i might do some proper evaluation of it. [0] notably *not* including any syncs to other hosts such as cdimage.d.o which goes through a seperate IP (and which is rsync anyway). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-live-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
