I see 3 main usages and each can ask for a feature which doesn't suit
well for other usages.
1) Demo: that is where live CD comes from.
2) Mobile: people doesn't carry anymore a laptop, there is always a PC
in which they can plug in their USB mobile OS. Partial persistency is
very important. Access to local drives is not necessary.
3) Rescue: Access to local drives is a must.
