this is not enough as it's not listing the filesystem used (only the partition type). therefore, please give the output of a 'file -s $partition' for each. > sorry .. I did not finish reviewing ... I send back to change and test. > But blkid -c option is to display the file path to consider. in the meanwhile, i've commited the following: http://live.debian.net/gitweb?p=live-initramfs.git;a=commitdiff;h=197369520e1c0c29cb0e1f11ce19b1985d54d0d4 it fixes it for me in that sense, that it does boot now when one of the partition has a unsupported filesystem, however, it's still needs some corrections as once e.g. a live-rw partition was found, it still tries to get a home-sn, live-sn partition and, in this case, uselessly complains about having not found them. snapshots at live.debian.net/debian are up2date, please use those for testing.
