Hi,
I'm trying to work out why lintian had an issue with the new procps
package.

There's two odd things about it:
1) The error comes up on the debian FTP server (v2.104.0) but not locally
(v2.121.1). I think the relevant file checks/conffiles was last changed 15
years ago.

2) The error is saying the conffile is not in /etc but /etc/sysctl.conf is
clearly in that directory.

I'm stuck here because I have an error that doesn't make any sense to me.

Could you explain to me how the file /etc/sysctl.conf is not a file in
/etc?
I need this line to fix #1085130

this question would be better asked the lintian people, wouldn't it?

Also, I don't get this message:
csmall@elmo:~/Debian/procps/procps$ lintian --version
Lintian v2.121.1

The lintian version on fasolo is v2.104.0.

  Thorsten
