Please reconsider your claim after thinking about typesetting, formatting, mathematical formulas, pictures, footnotes, headers/footers, internal and external links, and so forth... For instance, for a PDF file generated from LaTeX, I would certainly say that the PDF format is not source form at all. -- New location for my website!
