Trademark license is orthogonal to copyright license. Trademark laws are more like truth in advertising laws than anything else -- they're aimed at preventing deception -- they don't prohibit any non-deceitful uses or changes. [That said, it's the trademark owner who gets to define what's truthful use of the trademark, and what's not.] Trademark license isn't specific to a piece of software -- it's specific to a context. -- Raul
