Of course! What I meant was: IMHO, usefulness should not be the parameter used to decide if one package must end up in main or in contrib. Uselessness can be a reason for completely dropping the package and deciding to not distribute it. I would find it weird if uselessness were a reason for moving the package from main to contrib...
