Except that "inclusion by reference" muddies the meaning of "this license" as used in the referenced document. The author of *any* document which refers to itself might be quite surprised to learn what other people claim he means by "this document", if we accept your thesis. Maybe I should write up some heresy, include the Bible by refererence, and then aggravate some Christians by claiming that my heresy is the Word of God by virtue of the Holy Word flowing through my "inclusion by reference." -- G.
