Although that web site lists multiple ways to disable most do not work. The only way that works for me is to set net.ifnames=0 on the kernel command line. None of the other alternatives work for me. In /etc/default/grub edit it this way. GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="net.ifnames=0 quiet" And then run 'update-grub' and reboot. # update-grub Bob
