Also related to the issue, after installing xfce4-power-manager the power
button is broken.
With xfce4-power-manager installed I should be prompted "what do do, power
button pressed"
There is no activity when pressing the power button. Prior to installing
power-man, the system
would halt when pressing the power button.

also plugging in power adapter does not have any impact.

When using gnome-power-manager
The only system activity I can tell happening when pluging/unplugging A/C
adapter is power-save state changes according to pm-powersave.log

When using xfce4-power-manager pm-powersave.log is not update by power adapter
plug/unplug. I'm assuming this is normal because
xfce4-power-manager does not have a default profile for "while on batt" vs.
"while on A/C"

I'm not sure what else to provide.

Thanks in advance for taking the time.

Eric
