I've posted these threads long time ago on ubuntuforums.org, but I haven't received any clear answer... Does somebody know, how to solve my problems - I want to use all advantages of my laptop and try to use web cam Microsoft Lifecam VX-3000 (I have made it working before, but it haven't been working with Skype...) and my photo camera Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 7.2MPx or its memory stick... So I want to make working all functions of my card reader. Look throw my posts:
##### 1 - Problem with LifeCam VX-3000, sony dsc-w55 and cardreader. Good time! I have laptop Acer 5220 (Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2310 @1.46GHz, DDR2-1Gb, 15,4", WGA, DVD-RW, card-reader SD-Multimediacard-memorystick duo pro-xD, WiFi, FireWire, DHCP), camera Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 7.2MPx and Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000. Questions: - How could I use my card reader in Linux Mint 7/Ubuntu 9? I need to mount SD cards and Sony memory sticks. - How could I connect my camera to computer with cable? How can I mount it or what might I do? - How could I use my web cam? So... The question is. How can I use this devices under Linux Mint 7/Ubuntu 9/Debian 5? P.S.: lsusb (when webcam is connected): Bus 005 Device 002: ID 045e:00f5 Microsoft Corp. LifeCam VX-3000. lsusb (with camera): Best regards, Theodore Biryukov. ##### 2 - My microphone works with lots of noise. Hi! I have a problem with my microphone. It works with lots of noise and recorded sound is very-very quiet or simply there is no sound but only rhythmical crack. This result changes when I change in alsamixer L R Capture parameter (Capture [dB gain=6.00, 6.00] - lots of noise and quite sound, Capture [dB gain=30.00, 30.00] - rhythmical crack). Maybe this is a problem of bad configuration. Who can help? I have not only one parameter but two parameters L R Capture and now I was talking about the first of them. When I turn the second parameter a bit up from null than that is a loud siren. Who knows this problem? This happens with my inner microphone in Acer 5220 and with my Microsoft Lifecam under Ubuntu 9.04 (Mint 7). Also say some wards about differences between debian 2, 4, 5. And in general is it possible to make all advantages of your computer/laptop working under debian?
