It has an IP address. It must have been configured. It is listed as dhcp. So it must have gotten a DHCP address. Which seems to me like it *is* actually being managed by networm-manager. Right? What is your routing table? $ netstat -nr Or use 'ip' which is the new interface. $ ip addr show $ ip route show I am wondering if the latest network-manager is perhaps bringing up both interfaces simultaneously? That has some advantages. But would be a change from the Lenny version. And since I am behind I haven't been tracking the changes in Sid and would have missed this behavior change if it had gone in.
