When I try to boot Lenny AMD64 I cannot do it becouse the grub tell me
the follows:
[ 16.1313901] tg3 Flow control is off for TX and off for RX
[ 16.738256] ACPI : EC : non-query interrupt received, switching to
interrupt mode
[ 16.738256] ACPI : EC : non-query interrupt received, switching to
interrupt mode
[ 17.245665] ACPI: EC : missing confirmations, switch off interrupt mode
this is not a grub bug, its an kernel bug
there are two simple options to go:
- get a bios upgrade
I already got a bios upgrade several days ado.
- get a kernel upgrade, v2.6.28 should have solved the problem
I am a very novice in Debian and in Linux. How can I do it?
ok .. first you need to know the perfect mailing list for debian
beginners is debian-user.
you can get some newer kernels:
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianKernel
