Hi,

I have installed Lenny on the laptop. The graphics cards works relatively
well with the free drivers installed at install time. However, if you want
to take full advantage from your hardware you should install the non-free
drivers. They are available from non-free. You also may want to install
nvidia-xconfig to have x.org use the driver. After installing the driver,
compiz works really well.

As for the rest of the hardware, most things that matter work. Network and
sound card work. Wireless is still not supported in Lenny. I am not sure
but I guess you can only wait until new kernels are introduced into Lenny or
install newer versions yourself. The wireless works in 2.6.27 or newer
kernels. Lenny's kernel is 2.6.26. The remote control does not work and I
have not tried to see if it can work.

The worst thing is that suspension and hibernation don't work yet. I do not
know if there are any workarounds. I have not had time to play with it
enough and see what can be done.

In all, I am personally satisfied with Lenny's performance on the laptop
despite the wireless and hibernation/suspension not working yet.

Good luck!

Nima
