Well I discovered how you can solve the problem that the full brightness isn't available if on battery power:
In the BIOS menu go to Boot and select "Brightness Mode Control", change it from "Auto" to "User Control" and there you go, full brightness while on battery power... michael -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-laptop-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
