Hi, I have a Acer Aspire 1414WLCi with Debian Unstable, and I'm using the program kpowersave to monitor the battery, etc. The problem is that the suspend-to-ram doesn't work(The suspend-to-disk works). To activate the suspend-to-ram when I press FN+F4, I edited the file /etc/powersave/events and changed the line: POWERSAVE_EVENT_BUTTON_SLEEP="suspend_to_disk" to POWERSAVE_EVENT_BUTTON_SLEEP="suspend_to_ram" With this when I press FN+F4 the laptop should enter in suspend(to ram) mode. But the only thing with happens is that the screensaver is activated. Looking the line POWERSAVE_EVENT_GLOBAL_SUSPEND2RAM="prepare_suspend_to_ram screen_saver do_suspend_to_ram" of the same file, I noted that the screensaver should start, but after this the laptop should enter in suspend mode. What not happens. The strange thing is that if I do directly in the console: $ echo -n "mem" > /sys/power/state the laptop enter in suspend-to-ram mode.
sorry, this is only a question to understand suspend-to-ram: .. how you get back from suspend mode to run the laptop again? daniel
So, I think this should be a problem with some configuration with powersave. Anybody can help me? Thanks!! Max
