Please support our work by submitting news and Linux reports about laptops, notebooks, PDAs, mobile phones and portable media players. Werner Heuser |=| Monthly Highlights |=| KeyTouch - configure the extra function keys of a keyboard KeyTouch is a program which allows you to easily configure the extra function keys of your keyboard. This means that you can define, for every individual function key, what to do if it is pressed. KeyTouch needs information about your keyboard model to support it. If your keyboard is not supported yet, you can easily get it supported. For this purpose keyTouch provides a simple application called keyTouch-editor. KeyTouch-editor Live is a Live CD (based on Knoppix) containing keyTouch-editor. You put this CD-ROM into your friends laptop and create a keyboard file for his or her keyboard, without having to install Linux. You can help the keyTouch project by creating keyboard files with this CD-ROM and sending them to marvinr(at)users.sf.net.
