Are you looking for WLAN adapters that work easily with linux? I am working
with an adapter based on Ralink's rt2500 chipset (they are pretty common, I
am sure you will be able to find a specific device with it). Getting it to
work was as easy as "module-assistant auto-install rt2500" (using the
rt2500-source package). Ralink GPL'ed their drivers and an OS project[1] took
over maintenance and is working on getting it into the mainline kernel now.

| How are your experiences with these devices? Do they work easily with
| debian? What chipset do the devices use and what modules or extra
| software do I need in order to get it working.
| I'm using debian testing release on a ThinkPad T23 with a self compiled

| I haven't bought the devices yet. I just want to hear about your

| Thanks for any comments.
