Hi!
I am thinking about getting an ASUS or ACER AMD Turion-based system.
How well is Turion supported by Debian Linux, particularly its SIS
M760GX Chipset? If I attempt to load Debian Sarge amd64 onto this
type of laptop, what extra steps should I take and what extra packages
/ procedures (e.g. installing a recent kernel in Debian Unstable etc.)
must be involved?
Thanks!
Mark
linux-2.6.10/drivers: find . -type f -exec grep -iHs m760 {} \;
./video/sis/init301.c: * SiS

./video/sis/initdef.h:#define SF_IsM760 0x0080
./pci/pci.ids: 0760 760/M760 Host
./pci/pci.ids: 6330 661FX/M661FX/M661MX/741/M741/760/M760 PCI/AGP
./pci/devlist.h: DEVICE(1039,0760,"760/M760 Host")
./pci/devlist.h: DEVICE(1039,6330,"661FX/M661FX/M661MX/741/M741/760/M760
PCI/AGP")
It says M760 but not M760GX. I'd try it tho.
