Hello: I'm running sarge on a gateway M305 and installed apm/apmd. But 1) the battery status applet still says "no battery present", 2) the laptop seems to be running hotter than it did before, and 3) when I try to suspend (as root) the screen will blank and then return. The error on the suspend command goes like this:
