I can not get linux to detect my PCMCIA ethernet card. I have a Fujitsu Lifebook 420D laptop and the PCMCIA controller is a Cirrus CL-PD6729. The PCMCIA card is a 3Com Megahertz 3CXFE575CT, it is a cardbus card and not an ISA card. Is this specific card and this specific controller conflicting?
I done some googling and found that the it might be the i82365 module that is reason for it not working. And I found that instead of the i82365 module, i should try the yenta_socket module, so that it might work, is the yenta module compatable with my controller? I don't know if this is important but when I try to modprobe 3c59x i get: /lib/modules/2.4.18-bf24/kernel/drivers/net/3c59x.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be casued by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters /lib/modules/2.4.18-bf24/kernel/drivers/net/3c59x.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.18-bf24/kernel/drivers/net/3c59x.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.18-bf24/kernel/drivers/net/3c59x.o: insmod 3c59x failed I am going to download pcmcia-cs 3.2.7 and see if that might work. Am I on the right track or am i totally off? Any help would be appreciated. --- Lawrence Lee [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://hills.ccsf.edu/~llee32/index.html
