What options did you use to compile the kernel? Did you use the i830
dri module?
I've got XFree86 4.3 working now (with i810 as chipset) but only with
a 2.4 kernel, not with 2.6.
When I boot to 2.6.0-test11, I can't insert the i830 module and then X
complains that it can't open /dev/agpgart (the agpgart kernel module
gets loaded, however).
