I recently upgraded my laptop from a 600E to a T20, and I've now
installed Debian on it. I have hit a couple of problems that I'm hoping
someone can provide some suggestions towards solving.
First, even though I have gpm installed and running, I get no console
mouse services. I've tried a number of different settings for protocol,
so far haven't had any luck. Can anyone tell me what settings I should
have for this machine?
Second, while I have the screen blanking (from either the KDE desktop or
XFCE, ite backlight is not being switched off. Idon't recall haveing any
problems of this sort with the 600E, so I' wonder what setting I may
have missed.
Third, I recently installed Xine to watch DVDs. However, it obviously
expects a number of links (/dev/dvd, dev/cdaudio for example) and I've
so far found no list of what should be created, or where they should be
linked from.
