Centrino is not just the cpu but the combo of... My current laptop, Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100, has a 1.8 P4-M. Although I am using Gentoo on it and not Debian, I use the pentium4 gcc flags for compiling my software. I will say that for the slite increase in preformence from my old laptop (Toshiba Sattelite Pro 1.3 Piii) that the battery life is about half of what I was getting (then 3hr+- now 1 1/2hr) Jayson Garrell
