Hi, I've recently bought an iBook with a 700MHz G3 and installed Debian unstable on since that's what I've been using for a long time. I don't have so many questions regarding Debian specifically, but rather Linux on the iBook, and since it's hard to find people on the net with the same setup I might as well ask here.
E.g., playing DVDs in mplayer. It simply doesn't work. The sound is okay, but the video runs only at half the speed. Eventually, it just stops. Now, mplayer prints out that my hardware is too slow, but that doesn't really make sense, since the processor and the grafics card should be fast enough. Besides, I can play DVDs under OSX just fine.
