I know this is not really relevent to debian-laptops but..

How does one go about creating their own distribution of debian?

I am running Woody, with a semi vanilla kernel 2.4.20 (installed acpi & other
little bits), KDE 3.1 and want to create a cd that I can use to re-install debian
should I decide to wipe everything and start again.

I also wish to re-create the setup I have on another laptop that has similar
specifications to my working machine.

In addition, how would I go about creating my own .deb files? I am looking at
creating a deb package of firebird (phoenix) browser, and possibly Thunderbird
(minotaur) mail client.

Any links or pointers would help.

Cheers,

Ben.
