I'm also trying to get my sound working. I've done the following:
apt-get install alsa-source
dpkg-reconfigure alsa-source
PnP: yes
debugging: no
select cards to be built: all
apt-get install music123
apt-get install mpg123
music123 holygral.mp3
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/sound$ music123 holygral.mp3

MPEG 1.0 layer III, 24 kbit/s, 22050 Hz mono
Can't find a suitable libao driver. (Is device in use?)
But this TM634 seems ok with the same drivers:
