I commented out all lines except localhost :> in /etc/hosts and rebooted, got DHCP lease, all working, except again :> apt-get update tries to connect to 192.168.6.1. Why? : :Is the 'server' you aliased listed as an archive in sources.list? :If so apt-get may be seeing a cached address.
