Well, I personally have a firewire cdrw drive.... just a guess but I had to add it to the scsi bus manually with scsiadd.... (lately it works without doing it but it is worth a try, I think) ...but i never tried to install from it since I have an integrated cdrom drive and also i cannot boot from my cdrw.....
