hang after lilo

Hi:    My SONY Vaio C1MR/BP(similar with C1MRX) works fine with 2.2.20 default Debian3.0 kernel, but when i compile 2.4.20 for it, when i boot with the it, the computer hang right after this"     boot:     Loading Linux.........................     Uncopressing Linux... OK. booting the kernel     then it hangs.   Any one has the same problem before I compiled kernel 2.4.20 with patch-2.4.20.ac2 thanks   ------- ming wu
