Don't know if there is a HOWTO for BIOS updates because I did the update
before I started learning Linux. But IBM provides the updates
appropriate to each model on its website. I think you should be able to
download it and create an update-floppy using whatever OS you are now
using to get online. Hope I am right and HTH,
