-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello everybody,
i have a asus laptop and installed woody of the official cd-set. Everything works well, but sound didn't work. I use the 2.4.18-2.4bf kernel and the modules, but the opl3sax.o didn't work with the settings of www.linux-laptop.org. Then i test the alsa modules (debian and new compilation of www.alsa-project.org) that was a catastrophy. When i want to make a modprobe with the settings of the README-file the laptop hangs up and i only could turn it off with the power button. But the handbook and isa-pnp says that the sound chip is a opl3sax-chipset, so why it don*t work? Has anybody this laptop with debian and sound running? Thanks a lot. Bye now Stoeps -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE95mV7C+6933CV74cRAvqGAKCS3FCWN3MXWgCLpBWVYSGxGNe4bQCfXJqU 7TkZeXEg6UMIoKEl5RovM7Q= =PjTE -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
