I used 'bf24' from the ordinary cd's flawlessly. The internal network card is a rtl8139 (or at least use that driver). > It would be nice if you have a report for me! Well, it's not a report but here's some notes that might be helpful: You'll probably want the binary driver from Nvidia, at least I couldn't get xfrees 'nv-driver working. The sound is NOT a trident even though some other distros say so, I had to use alsa (090rc3 at the time) snd-card-ali5451 or similar. I've been told that the "shorcut" keys work (or at least almost) with the driver from http://www.math.columbia.edu/~jensen/linux/acertm/ but haven't yet tried for myself. At http://mobilix.org/touchpad_driver.html you'll find drivers for the touch pad "wheel button", I got the buttons recognized but not perfectly working. Might be configurable though (or there might even be a never version). I couldn't get battery / temperature sensors etc working with APM, with ACPI they work but the computer won't poweroff properly on 'poweroff' :-( And lastly links to some resources I found that may, or may not, be useful: http://fchabaud.free.fr/English/default.php3?COUNT=2&FILE0=Tricks&FILE1=Laptop http://wojas.vvtp.tudelft.nl/acertm/ http://www.nvidia.com/ http://www-eleves-isia.cma.fr/~lichnews/acer/ http://www.compass.com/synaptics/ http://falcon.sch.bme.hu/~seasons/linux/swsusp.html Good luck! // Emil > Thank you! > > Yours faithfully > > Stefan
