Salve, I have a Dell Inspiron 4000 with a 3Com Mini-PCI combo WinModem and I fear, that this 3Com WinModem is still not supported :-(
So I got the idea that spend money for a prize for developing a driver. When some (maybe 100) user spend 10-30% of the hardware price for honor driver support, most wanted driver would be develop with some hardware-monitoring tricks much faster :-) Would such an idea match with "Free Software"? Wich organisation would be able to handle such prizes? User transfare some money, in case a driver is developt, the developer gets the prize, if in 1-2 years none developed a driver, the money is retransfared to the user, or spend for other projects. If someone know a solution for the 3Com WinModem, he will get my thanks, if someone going to develop a driver in till End 2003, he will get 30 Euro from me. Ok, 30 Euro are not a so big motivation, but imagine some other user would join ;-) Greetings, rob
