hi, I was finaly able to get sndconfig working , and seemed to have ran ok . but I still not able to run any application like mp3blaster etc and even kde sound is not working. it gives an error saying "sound device not found" or "sound device control error" but system bells etc are ok but applications don't run. help !!!
