Greetings Steve: I am trying to recall such a configuration question, but I do not recall it ever being mentioned via the install script. I have installed it here and it was as simple as 'dpkg -i opera_xxSomeVersion.deb'. I have also recently installed it on a test box, again never seeing any mention of 'automatically start up with.." Perhaps you have something like a kde desktop that is doing this? If that is the case, it would have nothing at all to do with opera.
