Hey all, I have a Xircom Real-Port ethernet and modem card. (RBE M56G 100) that loads as far as the system is consernce (i.e. ifconfig see's it etc) but as soon as I ping anything i get TX and Carrier Errors.
A couple of things: 1) This is the 2nd card that i've tryed (ahh swaping cards @ work is great) 2) It works fine under windwos (unfortunatly) 3) I've tryed 2.2.x and 2.4.18 kernels (the apt-getable ones). Particulars below. * The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite 2520CDT * Currently Running SID with a 2.2.20 kernel (have tryed 2.4.18 last install before i did an install from the woody cd). * ii pcmcia-cs 3.1.34-5 PCMCIA Card Services for Linux. * Using a i82365 driver for the PCMCIA buss. * Have an axnet_cs based card that works fine but the dongle is getting rather annoying.
