Problem: I can use Nokia 7110 as modem via IrDA and cannot do the same thing with Nokia 6310. Can someone share a useful hint with me? What is the difference between handsets? M.b. I can tweak my IrDA config somehow? (Sorry for a long post)
Setup: Sony Vaio PCG-680K notebook, kernel 2.4.18-686 and irda* from unstable, infra-red in FIR mode using nsc-ircc.o. Both phones show up in discovery log (as shown by irda). But when I try to dial up through Nokia 6310, i see this: irdadump: ========= 07:53:14.991264 xid:cmd 80b81b2b > ffffffff S=6 s=2 (14) 07:53:15.081262 xid:cmd 80b81b2b > ffffffff S=6 s=3 (14) 07:53:15.163005 xid:rsp 80b81b2b < f8810000 S=6 s=3 Nokia 6310 hint=b125 [ PnP M odem Fax Telephony IrCOMM IrOBEX ] (27) 07:53:15.171269 xid:cmd 80b81b2b > ffffffff S=6 s=4 (14) 07:53:15.261262 xid:cmd 80b81b2b > ffffffff S=6 s=5 (14) 07:53:15.351273 xid:cmd 80b81b2b > ffffffff S=6 s=* dimail hint=0400 [ Computer ] (22) 07:53:15.367030 snrm:cmd ca=fe pf=1 80b81b2b > f8810000 new-ca=4c (33) 07:53:15.496695 ua:rsp ca=4c pf=1 80b81b2b < f8810000 (31) 07:53:15.496816 rr:cmd > ca=4c pf=1 nr=0 (2) 07:53:15.741268 rr:cmd > ca=4c pf=1 nr=0 (2) 07:53:16.241267 rr:cmd > ca=4c pf=1 nr=0 (2) 07:53:16.741275 rr:cmd > ca=4c pf=1 nr=0 (2) 07:53:17.241267 rr:cmd > ca=4c pf=1 nr=0 (2) and the last line goes on and on and on ....
