First of al, don't you have a C810 with a build in 3com-NIC that you can use (driver 3c59x)?? > XE2000 (pcmcia) installed. Everything seems to be at startup, the Xircom > card is recognized, if I use ifconfig eth0, eveything is fine, but I can't > see other machines on my network. UG eth0 This seems as you didn't set up a gateway? normally, since your on a private network, it seems to me the route command should give you something like 192.168.1.0 * 255.255.255 U 0 0 eth0 default my_gateway 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 eth0 with my_gateway replaced by the ip-adress of your gateway? Can you ping to other machines on the 192.168.1 subnet? k -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
