Hi all, My Vaio Fx401 has a build in winmodem. lspci says: 00:07.6 Communication controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. AC97 Modem Controller (rev 30)
From windows xp I get: Conexant-Ambent Soft K56 Data, Fax Modem PCI bus 0, device 7, function 6, speed 115200, port COM3 IO: 1400-14FF, IRQ: 09 Question: Is there some other places where I can look, besides http://www.linmodems.org/, and http://www.idir.net/~gromitkc/winmodem.html? In order to see if I have any chance to get the modem to work. Thank you for your help. Ionel
