I am using irattach /dev/ttyS3 -s to start so it doesn't seem to use this file. After a lot of stuffing around I now have the palm talking to the laptop :-) I don't what's different to today :-( but it is working and currently backing up over IR :-D Thanks for your tips everyone. -- ************** * Simon Wong * **************
