Bonjour: Since a while I have tried to configure XF86 with the XF86_SVGA server on a Toshiba laptop (Satellite Pro 4200): according the the trace below the XF86_SVGA recognize the chipset ("s3_savage") but I get a Xscreen during a very short time with an ugly big mouse before a scratching.
Any idea ? Thanks in advance, Jerome BENOIT "startx 2>&1 | tee log" produces >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> XFree86 Version 3.3.6 / X Window System (protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6300) Release Date: January 8 2000 If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is newer than the above date, look for a newer version before reporting problems.
