I installed Debian 2.2r2 (potato) on a Sony Vaio F340 yesterday but so far the X window system does not work. Can anyone point me to information that will help me get it working?
Incidentally, I tried to invoke anXious to probe and reconfigure but when I type "anXious" at the command line nothing happens, even though the file /usr/bin/anXious seems to be there. So I tried with xf86config instead, but evidently have not got it right. When I typed "startx" it gave an error message "cannot open mouse (no such file or directory). I had specified ps/2 and dev/mouse. Thanks, Steve
