I advise you to consult the /proc/pci file, perhaps can you give more informa- tion about your soundcard. You say your soundcard is a soundblaster 16 bit compatible, for windows i haven't doubt but is chipset is it really a soundblaster 16 bit compatible. Good Chances. Anthony
