Hi, I got the same problem when I first intalled Debian on my laptop(Dell latitude CPi), but I fixed it: try different mouse type such that "microsoft" "PS/2" and different device "/dev/gpmdata" "/dev/psaux". One of combinations will fit your mouse.
Good luck. yuan On Wed, 20 Dec 2000, Jonathan Sunderland wrote: > Jonathan StationeryI've installed and configured Linux, and got the X > display to work (albeit in lo-res) but I get problems with the mouse. > > I'm running on a Dell Latitude XPi with trackball, whenever I move the mouse > it shoots to the top corner and "jiggles" about.
