I have a PCG-C1VJ (Japanese version of PCG-C1VN) and use woody on this machine. Of cause X woks fine :-) with this Mode line: Modeline "1024x480" 65.00 1024 1032 1176 1344 480 488 494 560 -hsync -vsync I recommend to use XFree86 4.0.1h or later. Current woody's xfree86 packages (4.0.1-11) based on 4.0.1Z. XFree86 4 serias ATI driver of 4.0.1g or earler does not work on this machine correctly (need some patches). ---- From CHANGELOG related this fix XFree86 4.0.1h (4 December 2000) (snip) 1067. Fix ATI clock generator recognition when an adapter BIOS cannot be retrieved (Linus Torvalds). 1066. Fix int10 and ATI driver for video BIOSes larger than 64kB (Marc La France). ---- XFree86 3.3.6's Mach64 server does not work. SVGA server could work but a little buggy (When X was finished, console would be broken...) -- ISHIKAWA Mutsumi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
